Staking tools or something else?

Recommended Posts

I found these small stakes, they are approximately 25mm tall and 4mm in diameter. There is a slight taper. They do not fit in my staking tool.

are they some sort of mini stakes?

there is also one longer stake at 3mm diameter that has a flat spade head with a very thin cut to one side.

any information would be greatly appreciated

These look like centers for dead center turning. The ones that are hollowed out would be for situations where in the event a pivot breaks in the center you can get it out, the others look like normal centers that would work with male or female cones cut on the blank being turned. The taper would correspond to the taper in the runners of the tailstock (or headstock). These kind of look  shop made, but as long as they hold in their female taper the beauty of dead center turning is there would be no effect on accuracy if things aren't lined up perfectly.

The long tool with the slot looks like a tool for bending balance arms when truing.

The last pic appears to be a simple chuck for holding drills. Most drills intended for watchmaking typically have a standard shank size of 1, 1.5, and 2mm so no real need for much more than this.
