Hello,

After leaching info here for a while I decided to create an account as I need some help from the community.

I have picked up a Seitz jewel press but after receiving, derusting and reassembling it I found out that the spindle is missing.

Does anybody know where to get one?

They used to be easy to obtain but cousins and Bergeon classed it as obsolete now.

I have added a picture to show what I need.

Regards,

Tony

I can't find any supplier that has that part. Sorry to say I think you will only get one if you keep looking on ebay, or do you know of anyone who could make one or have you the means to make it.

Hi Have you sourced only the UK ?  there are  Jules Borel ,  Esslingers, Timesavers in the USA and also A.G.Thomas in the UK. But as OH says probably the best chance is Ebay.

I have only sourced UK and Bergeon directly.

I am Dutch and Dutch suppliers only deliver to people with a vat number and I am just a hobbyist.

I will take a look on monday guess I will just have to be patient till something pops up on Ebay for a reasonable price.

The shipping from the US will probably kill it for me.

It took a while but I finally found a rusty press on Ebay that had the spindle I needed on the cheap.

It was a gamble as it could have been a 3 mm version but sometimes flipping the coin pays off.
