I'm designing a plastic smartwatch. Is it possible to use ordinary watch pushers?

Hello all.  I'm a mechanical engineer based out of Boston.  I work at a small startup here that is attempting to make a smartwatch.

I've never been involved in horology or watchmaking before, so there's a lot that I'm going to need to teach myself along the way!  I'd be grateful for the opportunity to learn a thing or two from you folks in the watch repair community.  Particularly when it comes to techniques I might be able to implement to achieve water resistance in my design.
