Have just joined as a member and hope to get some sound advice in future. Have been restoring mantle clocks as a hobby for 12 months now with much success in repairing movements. Have become stumped though with my first torsion spring clock which runs great but way to fast, despite turning the adjustment clockwise fully.

Welcome to WRT.

When you say torsion spring clock, do you mean a 400 day anniversary clock? I'm no expert on this subject. I've only repaired one such clock so far. Like you, I also only started repairing clocks this year because of the lockdown.

May I suggest posting your question in the Clock Corner. Then the clock experts in the forum will chime in.
