Hi all

I like to know how best to remove the stud from the balance Bridge,  there are no screw to release for this one.

Do people just stake it out?

it is a on a Lapanouse 1350 movement

Many thanks

For friction-fit studs, you can remove the balance cock and support the area where the stud enters on an anvil, or a staking block. Then carefully press the stud with tweezers or a screwdriver.

Agree with Nucejoe if it is pinned just unpin it. If the hairspring is attached to the hairspring stud then the stud (which will be friction fitted) will have to be pushed out. However if it was me I would first clean the balance cock and balance/hairspring and then closely  inspect.

You might be lucky and be able to adjust the H/S in situ.
