Spare ebb880 2nd wheel with slip clutch

Recommended Posts

Good evening,

I'm in the process of overhauling my EB8800 powered Heritage jump hour/direct read watch. It dawned on me that the number wheels were never turning. After poking around on it, I discovered the slip clutch that allows you to set the time, that is part of the 2nd wheel, is worn out. There is no drag and therefore it never drives the number disks behind the dial. I was wondering and hoping perhaps someone had a spare 2nd wheel with a good clutch for me to acquire. Much gratitude will be displayed:thumbsu:

I may have one, I'll take a look tomorrow.
Does anybody know how this clutch works?

Does the clutch rely on a sticky grease for its operation?

17jewels.com simply describes it as a friction wheel. Nothing specific beyond that.
