Hi everyone,

I'm trying to remove the rotor of this watch, but the groove on the screw head is extremely shallow. None of the screwdrivers in my watch repair kit are able to gain enough traction to loosen it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Use a stone to grind the tip of the blade frontally so  to widen it to match the slot width. That will cause the tip sides to make a better wedge and grip. It is possible that you will have to keep that blade/driver for similar screws and use another for regular heads.

FYI we have a section where is considered polite for new members to introduce themselves.

Hi   other than what jdm has suggested if its still stubborn a careful aplication of a screw slot file to clean up the edges and deepen the slot a little but be carefull it just to get a purchase on the screw not to over deepen the slot.

i just removed the rotor from my sieko AND noticed the shallow wide screw head.  i reshaped one of old drivers to fit ( try for 100% contact in  the slot ).    the sieko is well used and had a noise roter.  - worn bearing.  no sign wear yet,  so i used some special oil and it is silent now.   VIN
