Lathe parts

I bought this parts for polishing pivots on my 6mm Lorch. But i cant see the use of the part i taking mesure of. As you can see it fits perfectly where the centering pin goes in.  Is it for drills for repivoting? I cant see any threads in the end .

Thanks. .  I never seen clamping collets. Difficult to get? And how will these collets stay in place in the"draw bar"?

Should be pretty hard to find. Horia makes one that takes little collets, wouldn't be surprised if the shaft diameter is the same and you can get just that part and a couple little collets and be set.

I use these often just hand holding the drill, the setup is almost essential for many repivoting jobs.
