  3. Hi I am trying to fit a new piwot in my brothers pocketwatch. I will try this before fitting a new balance staff. During my preperations i am reading Donald de Carlos repairing book, and my understanding english i not so good. It stands: Let the temper of the arbor down to light blue. Does it means increase the temper to light blue with a flame,and then let it cool down? Mvh Tore

  6. I must show you this. Im so happy. Won at an local estate auction last summer. It is from the fiftys or the sixtys i believe, but hardly used. The cabinet i made myself, but i need a decent motor. The chinese sewing motor dont deserve this.

  10. I bought this parts for polishing pivots on my 6mm Lorch. But i cant see the use of the part i taking mesure of. As you can see it fits perfectly where the centering pin goes in. Is it for drills for repivoting? I cant see any threads in the end .
  11. I am pretty sure you dont have to lift the hands from the dial. Just lift the dial with the hands in place.
  12. Thank you for solving the mistery tool. That was splended. I wonder if i ever gonna use it, and it looks unused. I presum the plugs must be maked in a lathe, if the tools are used?
  13. English is my second language, but i think i understand that Tmuir But i still have no idea how this is used in watchmaking. Plugs in/out of wich cylinder? Whats the curves in the stakes for?
