Type of clock

Recommended Posts

Bought this clock at a car boot sale. What type or category would it fall under. Can’t seem to find it or begin to google a name for it. All I know it has a Junghans movement and looks old. Thanks.

My that's an interesting clock. Looks like an alarm clock with a sub seconds hand as well. The case is simply stunning though. Love that castle.

Thanks squiffy. Had a look there and yes it’s similar to mine. I’ve just noticed the base is missing from mine and some finials. This image is the exact one. Thanks again.

They are called castle clocks. This is so because of the design of the case. The movement is German, I expect it is a 30 hour movement with alarm. There are also 8 day movements. The balance is typical of a 30 hour alarm.
