Citizen NY2300 Automatic

James here. Yes I am new to this interesting forum. I was hoping someone with repair knowledge could tell me if I can replace the Miyota 8200 movement with the 8205 movement ? I have done some searching on the web to see if you can buy an 8200 movement. I have been unable to find anyone who sells them. They may be out of production. I may just have to have my Citizen NY2300 serviced. I didn't know if it was more economical to simply replace the movement. The 8205 movement new is around $50. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can google, Miyota8200 ranfft for this and other calibers. 

Ranfft lists variations, family generation and more. 

I am not sure if dial feets are positioned the same. Some folks go as far as breaking the feet in case of no fit. Dial amputation is immoral.

The Miyota mov’ts are same. I’ve used them in an NY2300 as well as a 51-2273 without issues.
