  1. Just recently i have been rather busy with a large intake of repairs & servicing, i figured since ive worked so hard ( and yet still have more to do ) id treat myself to another tool. I know i don't really need it but i do like Bergeon tools and this one i picked up is in mint condition with original box. I normally use my Bergeon staking set but this will make a nice addition to my growing collection. Sad that a new tool makes me excited, or are you guys like me ? Next on my list is the Bergeon hairspring collet tightening tool :) Hopefully i should have some nice watch photos to upload over the coming weeks as i have had an Omega repair frenzy including a rather battered Omega RAF 1953 Cal 283 and also a return of a personal favourite 1956/58 Seamaster, and not forgetting a complete restoration of a Tudor Oyster Princess :D

  2. I agree with you Geo, there is no adjustment. It makes me wonder if the dial feet have been snapped off and dial sticky pads used with the dial not lined up quite right?

  3. Don't even think about it, you are asking for trouble. Remove both hands and with the crown in the time setting position, turn the crown until the date just changes then re-fit the hands both at the twelve position.

  4. Mr.Beat I guess I'm a lot like you, I love tools especially older high quality tools. I feel like to older tools live and by purchasing and using them brings them back to life. I know I'm odd but just love that the tools have history.

  8. I probably couldn't make it for the cost either. But there's nothing like spending lots of time making something it would be cheaper to buy. Plus I got to get some new power tools. [emoji12]

  9. Good set of tweezers that don't break the bank? Sorry, but no such animal exists. Cheap tweezers aren't good, and good tweezers aren't cheap. I only use one pair of tweezers for everything; except hairsprings of course ... a pair of Gold Plated Brass Dumont #4's that I've custom shaped just the way I like them. Brass tweezers don't ping parts like steel, never become magnetized, have a lovely soft free, and I never have to worry about marking parts with them. I've been using them 8hrs a day, 5 days a week for 7months, and at the most I have to give them a light dressing once a week. ... I will cry when they are worn out :(, and they will receive a royal burial with full military honours.
