Hello everyone,

Anyone have any experience servicing a Longines 22A? Any pointers or tricks i should know about and does anyone know where to get a technical document or oiling chart? Thanks

That is an automatic wind, sub second. I used to service Longines, the shop I worked for were Longines agents. As far as I remember (memory not that good), it is just like most other autos, apart from the quality.

Your watch is interesting in that it looks like Longines change the number at some point in time. Then there's a parts list found at the second link.

  In think you are effectively shortening the coil by shorting out damaged tracks. In my case as long as the continuity was good and the resistance not too greatly affected it should be ok . One was on an era movement,

  Would the paint increase the resistance of the coil ? Effectively joining the wires that are painted. I imagine its important to only paint the smallest of areas to make the repair.
