Seiko 6205B Barrel - How Open?

Hi,

I am trying to clean a Seiko 6205B movement and cannot for the life of me get the barrel open. I have been looking everywhere (scalpel in hand), for somewhere to start prising the barrel apart but there is no obvious join. Am I missing something? 

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't think the 6205 has the same construction as the 7S26 . It's same as the 6309 and some other seiko barrels. Just put it on something hard and press down on the teeth. Check watchbloke servicing a 6217 . Same barrel as the 6205. https://thewatchbloke.co.uk/2015/04/19/seiko-6217-8001-3/

Thanks guys, unfortunately I used a version of the 7S26 method and while I got it open it damaged the barrel somewhat. Thankfully I don't think it is terminal. Having it open I  can now see how the 6309 approach would have worked (and will do it in the future for similar barrels). It's all a learning process
