I need to find a donor movement (looking for a balance wheel and staff). Can you help in trying to identify the movement? It's a large size pocket watch with not a lot of info to go on I am afraid. The movement itself measures at 53.77mm.

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like a common Swiss bar movement. These are tough to attribute to anyone, especially  when they are not marked with anything other than something generic,  like this one is on the dial. Maybe if one had access to Kathleen Pritchard's book on Swiss makers, one could identify it, but that book is pricey, rare, and may not be much help. I wish you luck on finding out the maker. And once you do, who knows how interchangeable the balance will be. Best of luck on your project.

So far I have been advised that the "ancestory"" is a fontainemelon (FHF) movement of some type that has been modded to resemble a "Jules Jurgenson" bridge type. So now I need to find the exact caliber it's based on. I have included some sizes in mm and inches (not sure of the lignes) and I am hoping someone with a "Best Fit" book might be able to identify the caliber it is based on.

The shoe shaped bridge in the keyless works (photo above) is definitely similar used on the FHF 18.5" H5 bidfun-db Archiv: Uhrwerke: FHF 18.5'''H5 Lepine  *

* Big thank you to Hartmut Richter for this information.

53.92mm works out to 23.9 lignes, or almost a 29s......not sure if this helps or not....

Thank you. Everything helps.

what does the "s" signify in the "29s"? Is that an American measurement?
