Omega movement

So I have a ladies vintage omega watch that someone years ago removed the original mechanical movement and retro fitted it with a quartz movement. The lady now wants an omega movement put back in and I thought i had found the correct movement(caliber 1100) but the problem is that the cannon pinion and the hour wheel are too short because the dial has a slight curve in it. So my question is is there a cannon pinion and hour wheel for the 1100 that is longer? or can i found out the original movement by the two numbers that are on the inside of the case? Those two numbers are AA7884-R and 222356.

Thanks

According to Jukes Borel there are 4 different heights of canon pinion and 3 different hour wheels... although there may be more!

If you click on the part name it will show you where else this is used.

I have come across AA series omega cases before (and my wife has one I bought from eBay). Cousins doesn’t list any of them and Jules Borel only has a couple listed. The ones I have seen were from the US and the cases were made locally to avoid import duties.

My wife’s has a Cal 483. The cal 1100 would be from the late 70s, I’ve just found the pic you posted on another forum and I would say your watch is too early for that - more likely 50s / 60s

You can find tech sheets for old Omega movements here http://tech.gleaveandco.com/tech-sheets/omega or look on ranfft http://ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?12&ranfft&0&2uswk&Omega_1100 to check sizes and heights to get a better match
