I am planning to assemble a custom large pilot watch (44mm case) using Unitas 6497 movement.

Now, I am trying to source the lumed hands and is wondering if any of you know whether I could get the hands from established watch brands that have pilot watches since there are many around.

The reason I am hesitant to just get generic hands off eBay is I am not sure about the quality.

Any suggestions and advice? Appreciate it. Thanks.

PS: Unitas 6497 holes sizes for the hands are 1.15mm, 2.00mm and 0.27mm.

On other forums i've read good things about this site.

w w w.helenarou.com/hands.html

I used this site for my dial and hands. Very good.

Ferdinand, although limited in my opinion, ofrei has hands for this movement.

They are reasonably priced but I don't know if you will like them for your build. I haven't decided for mine for I haven't gotten to that point yet but I might select some of their offering when the time comes. Worst case scenario, I might even buy some of their Omega'$ replacement$ hand$ or any other brand that might fit.

I have checked helenarou and I am unsure about generic parts, hence I was thinking of getting a branded one. I noticed that Citizen has some big pilot watches as well.

@bob if you can get Omega hands and they fit that would be great.
