At my work we had a Weidmüller printjet Pro which is a label and cable mark printer. As with many other printers, it could not withstand standing for too long, so the print head could not work anymore and a repair was too expensive. After half a year at our warehouse it was decided that it should be thrown out. I chose to take it home and pair it as I saw that there were some 3 mm. drive belt in it.

I have now divorced it and certainly did not regret it. In addition to UV lamps, motors and fans there were a lot of wheels and bearings with holders that could be used to build accessories for lathe or other tools. I am very happy about my decision.
