Adding weight to a balance wheel

I have an omega 601 that the person before took to much weight off the balance wheel. Other then replacing the wheel is there any way to put weight back onto the wheel?

I though the cal 601 was a smooth-rimmed balance / glucydur?

I've seen people silver solder to add weight to balance rims before. Not tried myself.

So the 601 featured at the link below is a smooth balance wheel there's no place for timing screws for instance. I'm assuming that somebody took the weight off because they thought they can make the watch run faster? Then you want to put the weight back on the make the watch run slow perhaps?
