Will be replacing a damaged press-in case tube on a water resistant watch. Is there anything beyond simply pressing in (with correct tool) to this procedure? Any sealants, etc???

Or just press in metal to metal???

Thanks. I'll be on the lookout when I press the old one out.... If there is a gasket, do you recommend some silicone??

I don't think it will be needed, but if you can conceal it and makes you feel better, go ahead.

Would use some high strength green  Loctite to both seal and make sure it stays in place? Would make it easier to press in also?

+1 on the loctite if you want it to be waterproof. I guess Rogart is referring to loctite 640, which is low viscosity and will therefore wick round to fill any gaps. It will however be hard to remove the tube in future without heating the case to about 250C.

I think Omega use the highest strength red loctite 271 on the pusher tube and other tubes? i think 640 would be as good as it gets? Even if you need to remove it with heat?
