Hi everyone. I am from South Africa, studying Horology in Italy. 

I would appreciate all of your assistance in making my studies on becoming a very good watchmaker, please. 

I love watches and learning this is amazing. Any advice, apart from watching Watch Repair Channel (LOL), would be much appreciated. 

We are preparing for ETA in Switzerland, we will be there for five days, working on ETA 2892,2893,2895,2896,2897 and ETA 2000. Please assist me with any information please. 

It is more or less knowing the difference and dissassembling and assembling. Any advice.

Welcome to the friendly forum. Lots here for everyone from beginners to advanced.

What level are you at. Don't take this the wrong way but you don't sound as if you have had any experience with the cal E T A that you have listed.

E T A 200 is 8¾ lignes so it is quite small but by no means the smallest movement that you will come across, it is also an auto and can have a calendar. They are quite straightforward if you have some experience with watches. There's lots of info on google about the ETA movements you have listed and good pictures for you to study.

Welcome aboard and good luck in your studies. Check out our walkthrough section and ask specific questions. I'm sure some one with the knowledge will be able to help.

For starters, I believe the ETA 289x (x is any of your listed end numbers) are all family of the 2892A2 so check for: date, day-date, automatic or not...whatever makes them feature different since the movement should be the same, plus or minus some sub system. I haven't worked with most of those so I wouldn't be able to tell exactly what the different features/complications are.

In any case, ETA 2892A2 is a finicky movement and should be dealt with much care which applies to the rest of them.

PS. I haven't worked with the 2000 which seems to be their coaxial(?). Mark has a video about those.
