Just Got This 1973 Omega The Recently

Loving it , got it because I wanted a watch that was as old as I am .

These are are very good watches and that one is particularly nice...........enjoy!

I have an f300 Seamaster and was wearing it last week when on holiday. Here's a wee tip for you, don't leave it sitting on an empty bedside cabinet at night. The cabinet acts as a sound board and amplifies the sound making it seem like you're sleeping inside a mains transformer. This is what happened last week in a hotel room last week and drove my wife nuts until I realise what was causing the noise!

Good Lord - what a complex watch! I love this, from the page you cited: "The index wheel can be destroyed by simply touching it on its rim. It must be handled by its pinion only."

 

No wonder you don't mess with them. What I found surprising was the statement that the machine which made these wheels was purposely destroyed. Amazing.
