Do the same job as a Bergeon platax for a fraction of the price :

There are two versions of this tool ; one for stacking tool with 7/8" frame and one for 1"1/16 ; (and one other for wristwatches)

As my stacking tool is a Boley (7/8") and my K&D staff remover is for a 1"1/16 , i found a nut (1/4" 40tpi) which match the thread (not perfect because the K&D is not exactly 40tpi)

(These nuts are used by British live steam amateurs)

I love the solution...and the tool. I have the K&D with its own tool for this job but you never know when a similar solution will be needed!

For those who have one of these, do they just press the staff out without removing the "rivet"? So do they not risk damaging the hole in the balance?

Thx
