Hiya all, I have a Rado Florence that needs a replacement 956 412 movement.

I have found one on eBay but I'm not sure if I need 0, 3, or 6 height?

Just wondering if anyone knows?

Thanks, Andy.

That is the hour wheel height. It needs to match the one to be repaced, but in case you order wrong you can use the older movement one anwyay.

Isn't the cannon pinion taller and the fourth wheel pivot also.

Either way on a replacement the original parts should be still available.

Do you mean this seller. http://www.ebay.com/itm/uncomplete-eta-swiss-movement-956-412-disk-6-height-1-gold-100-new-/331785434668?hash=item4d3ff3f62c:g:OIYAAOSwnDZUEt8V

I think he means where the date sits? At 3 or at 6 a clock

If I'm not mistaken the "standard" height is 3 for ETA...that said, your movement could be any height so you need to measure the components you are replacing that are affected by this "standard", in my mind they will be the hour wheel, cannon pinion and fourth wheel...this could be your case too but I'm not familiar with your specific movement that well.

No, thank you, roger! :)

This is a good thing since I was used to height 3 from ETA 2428 et al, as listed in Ofrei where I usually order parts from. They list the normal height (or the normal available height: might be a different concept: the way it is usually shipped...to them?) as height 3 so I just went with the flow and by extension all ETA. That makes me think that other than tech sheets, everything else we read out there or assume -- including supplier information -- should be taken with a grain of salt. Good lesson!

Cheers,

Bob
