It's A Wittnauer Day Today

Wittnauer is a nice make - bit of a devil to get parts for, though, even though they shared a factory with Longines for much of their life. As far as I'm aware, Wittnauer was an American firm that sourced many of its movements from Switzerland and then cased and timed them in New York. They were a co-company with Longines, but the parts were made in separate sections of the factory and weren't interchangeable - which is a shame. I once tried to source a cannon pinion for a Wittnauer from the States - 'twas a nightmare and I ended up selling the watch for spares or repair!

Better luck with your calendar model...
