Hi,

I'm new to this forum but would like to introduce myself. A couple of years ago I became interested more in watches after viewing videos You Tube from people such as Mark and Bunnspecial. I own 13 pocket watches mostly Waltham's and a couple of Elgin's and one swiss made watch.

Also I have a few wrist watches by Seiko and Rotary but my main watch that I love to wear almost all the time is an Omega, cal 1432. I like the watch because its so comfortable to wear and being about 35mm in size. I believe the 1432 was in production from Omega circa 1983 to 1985 but would appreciate if anyone on this forum could advise whether this is true or not. I know the 1432 is a modified ETA 255.111 which I believe has only recently gone out of production.

I like to strip and clean my pocket watches. The wrist watches I'm not so confident with at the moment but its a continuing leaning process.

Welcome to the forum Tony, you should like it here. The Omega and ETA movements you mention certainly look very alike, hopefully someone will come forward with in depth information for you.

Welcome from Me,

That watch ticks quite a lot of boxes for me - Clear to read time and date and not cluttered up, just a lovely white dial.

Cheers,

Vic
