I would like to get the battery replaced in my wife’s Tag Heuer watch.  Is this something I can do or should I send in to Tag Heuer?

Is it missing a gold bezel?  Seems online photos shoe one.  See photos,

Thanks!

Thank you for your response.  Are you sure we’re not missing a bezel?  When I looked on the web I got the attached pics.  My wife’s doesn’t look like this.  And will the tool in the attached photo work to remove the bezel?

Welcome to the forum.

It all depends how tight the previous person that worked on it has tightened the back but for the price it's probably your first option.

Yes it should have a gold bezel fitted.

If you don’t want to buy a back removing tool there is always the glue trick..     superglue a large nut on the back when it sets use a Spanner /wrench to unscrew when the battery is in and the watch is working fill the nut with acetone ( nail varnish remover) , this will dissolve the glue, then clean up any residue. Job done.

Use it regular and no scratches or marks.

…this is what it looks like without the bezel, which is clearly wrong.

Right! That‘s not how the watch in question looks like though.

Her is a video that doesn‘t show best practice but gives you an idea of the process:

Hi in the video notice the copper coloured coil do not touch it with the screw driver keep it covered with your gloved finger to avoid damage, it’s too easily clipped and destroyed

the bracelet is best opened up flat so as not to get in the way. It only hinders your work.
