I'm working on an old pocket watch, and I lost the small bolt that is pushed into the hole of the stud to attach the hair spring.

Has this part a specific name, and can this be sourced generically? Are there assortments of these parts, or do I need to look for the exact piece?

Thanks
Stephan

The brass and the copper too have some weak magnetic features. So very strong magnet will attract light brass hairspring pin, also brass shavings and similar. But, it is not worth to search for such pin when it has been pinged in earth orbit.

OP, no need to unpin the spring. The entire stud is easily removed from the balance cock
