Hello everyone.

I am based in Germany and so far I own 6 wrist watches (room for two more) that I really enjoy wearing, in fact I got so fascinated by them that I am considering getting a bit deeper into the hobby and learn more than just changing a strap and cleaning a watch. This decision happened when I was a bit too curious about how my 10 year old automatic Orient (with date and week) looks inside, so I opened the case...and watching that balance wheel moving in close up got me thinking.
So here I am, trying to learn and absorb as much information as possible and then put that into practice. I already ordered a 6497 movement, among other tools, and will start practicing soon. Hopefully I can service my Orient myself at some point.

Current watches:
- Hamilton Jazzmaster 40mm with an impressive 80h power reserve from a case thickness of just 11mm
- Longines Spirit Flyback 42mm blue dial - I absolutely love everything about this watch. And yes the 17mm thickness doesn't bother me at all as it wears like a 15mm watch
- Seiko Presage GMT 42mm limited edition - all black with an impressive purple dial
- Orient 40mm wl evos-co-a ca
- Echo/Neutra 39mm with date and moon phase and dial painted with BGW9 Superluminova. This is an Italian micro brand.
- Spinnaker Spence 40mm diver watch with a 300ATM water resistance and for the price I paid I will definitely swim with confidence.

P.S: I generally like my watches on stainless steel bracelets rather than the leather straps...for some reason leather doesn't feel as comfortable on my wrist, however the one I have on my Echo/Neutra (weird brand name, I know), feels quite good, but that's perhaps because it's Suede leather.

All the best !
