Genuine Rolex Parts

Recommended Posts

I have been looking for genuine Rolex parts but can only find them on the Bay from the USA. Has anyone a link to a supplier in the UK. I am actually looking for a 3135 mainspring BUT a genuine Rolex one. I fitted a generic one last year & it has been running for year now but now it occasionally it stops. The difference between a Generic spring & a Genuine spring is the length & possibly the strength. Although it is an average + 2 secs a day it is out of beat by 1.3 ms.

I have read fitting a generic spring could cause this issue so I want to fit a genuine spring hoping it works.

Sorry CB, it seems that the Swiss policymakers-on-watches are closing their export shops! No a very good outlook for the near future...hopefully they'll rethink their policy. I still hope at this point you can get what you are looking for. I'll keep my eyes open and report back.

Cheers,

Bob

Thanks Ssteel but I don,t think it fits. Also the barrel is the wrong colour (should be bronze) so a bit suspicious. There are complete barrels with spring installed & the seller states that they are genuine Rolex but again how do I know they are really genuine springs installed. So hoping to find a Genuine Rolex mainspring for a 3135 that is in a Rolex packet. If am going to spend £100 on a spring I must be sure it is genuine.

Hi CB, they are a little slow at posting out, so expect just over a week to get you part. Also they don't provide tracking number unless you actually request it. Its difficult to communicate with them as they don't speak English at all. But they are a reputable company and I personally have not had any problems with them

    • An update to my post above, i got this type of bezel remover yesterday, absolutely perfect, the build quality is very good, no slop or play, perfectly aligned, no manufacturing defects, i've tried it on a couple bezels and it just works how it should, it's a solid bit of kit, i'm more than impressed. The scores on the door say it's a 10 out of 10 from me. What a difference in build quality from the first bezel remover i got, i slagged the first bezel remover off as chinese junk but this one makes up for it.
    • Hi, I am looking for some Seiko Diafix cap stones. Managed to play tiddlywinks with one.    Seiko part number 011221
    • I remembered that when Lititz Watch Technicum's YouTube channel existed, they had a video about polishing. As I recall, many experts thought that video was among the best on the subject of polishing. It's a real shame that their videos are no longer available and I've been in touch with them regularly to see if they can get these videos back. Unfortunately, it seems that these videos are gone forever. The last message I received from them on 21 January read: "I'm sorry, but not yet. In a nutshell: the school is scheduled to be shut down next year - a new school is bring opened in Dallas, Texas. Because of that all video access is blocked. If a decision is made to not close the school, then at some point the videos will likely be made available. We just do not know that yet. So, just check in again in a month or three; sorry I can't be more specific than that." Well, as I recall, there was a section in the video that was about how to preserve the edges of a watch case, that is, how to avoid rounding off the edges when using a mop wheel. I don't remember all the details but what I do remember is that it's about keeping a high speed on the mop wheel and keeping a light pressure on it. I didn't think of this when I was polishing the case back but the next time I'll try it and see what difference it makes.
    • Good idea, I  was thinking of something similar but using a drill press.  Apologies, all the other comments have just appeared.  I was replying to @HectorLooi , the chain pusher is a good idea too.
