I know clockboy has the cleaning machine which is the one from India and he has said it is a fine machine giving good results. As you have good contacts and are willing to do the wiring it is up to you. I don't like to boast but all the photos of the machines I have had them or similar. The red one I had for cleaning small clock movements such as travel alarm clocks. I don't think there is much more I can say in giving advice. Good luck in what you choose and do let us know and if you obtain one post photos of it.

OK, the bayonet style fitting makes sense for alignment. Can you post photos with the bezel off? -
Thanks for the great advice....if you would like to donate a lathe to me so I could learn that would be fantastic 👍

OK; I was going partly from this detail in an Omega document - the date ring, 1580, is one of the parts not shown as different between the 1010 & 1020. The train bridge in it is a 1020 one, also. All the date rings I can find listed specifically against the 1010 are plastic, and only used or "refurbished" ones seem to exist. I was hoping the metal one was an upgraded version, as with the hack. I did think this had been messed with, the date ring being wrong just confirms it. It does work fit perfectly and work fine, other than the print being poor! It is a larger outer diameter than the Omega part, so I wonder if it should have a dial spacer & that's been removed?
