Hello,

I'm new to the forum. Please help if you have experience removing a stuck/tight watch movement. I am trying to get to the dial to be able to repaint it.

I took the caseback off, however as you can see in the picture the movement is quite far down in the case. I tried to pry it out with a screwdriver with no success.

I tried to remove the bezel my prying it off, again no luck. I tried removing the screws on the side of the bezel in either direction they just spin and don't loosen or tighten.

I even tried blowing out the crystal, although with a weak 10ml syringe. It did build up some pressure, it just seems like the space between the movement and crystal is too far and tightness of the movement will make it hard to do.

I tried to message the company directly, no reply yet several days later.

Please advise on any ways to dissemble the watch to get to the dial.

  • MichaelT changed the title to Addiesdive MY-H6 movement stuck please help

I found the solution! TheTimekeeper has a YouTube video, " How to: open a steeldive puck case." The key was attaching a suction cup to the crystal and turning it clockwise to unscrew the bezel/crystal unit to remove the movement. Hope this helps if someone has a similar issue with this type of watch.
