Hi everyone

I'm new to this forum but I've read a lot of the other threads and I trust I've come to the right place for some advice.

I recently bought a Jaeger LeCoultre recital alarm clock from a thrift shop and can't tell if it's replica

Thank you, Geo

Thrilled to hear that.

Here's all I know about the clock:it's a JLC recital from the 60s, it has an 8 day power reserve, 24 hour alarm with snooze and stop settings and a day & night indicator.

Although I do believe it's real, there is reason to believe that it can't be: firstly, the place where I bought it is the last place you'd expect to find a Jaeger, then there's the price; I paid Rs5000(about $75) for the clock and another watch, and finally, I've heard some really good fakes do exist.

Welcome Mark looking at the pics it looks genuine. There are still bargains out there & you seem to have found one.

Not many fake clocks around but lots & lots of fake / copied  watches around Rolexes etc,etc & the fakes/copies are getting better & therefore harder to detect.
