Fe 141 2C Anyone?

Recommended Posts

Taking apart my first movement, does someone have any information about a FE 141-2C movement?

After opening my watch (Yema Meangraf) I was hoping for a more regular movement like Eta or Valjoux, but this is what I get.

And there is not much information that I can find.

Hi Forester, not too familiar with the Fe-141 but I suspect that it is based on the Fe-140.

If I'm right then you can't get more regular than one of these as these are quite straightforward swiss movements, no surprises.

Just a quick heads up, I notice that FE does not usually mark their winding wheel screw as a left hand thread so bear this in mind. When you look at the back of the movement (as opposed to the dial side) you will see two large gears, the winding wheel is the smaller one.

Personally I don't like FE movements as the finish is poor and they usually have the french shock-absorber instead of Inca. Having said that however, I do like Yema watches and I wouldn't let this stop me from buying one.
