Click spring problem

Hello all,

AS 1700/01

maybe it’s an oversight, or perhaps I’m being thick…

On reassembling the click, the terminal end of the spring seems in the wrong direction to engage the underside of the click…

Not sure how to proceed, I don’t want to fiddle with it and risk a disaster with the spring flying away…

any suggestions,  most welcome

Hi Looking at the pictures the spring orientation looks right, try removing the spring and re fitting the ratchet wheel to get a full picture of the fitting, The spring should contact the underside of the click. Have you removed the click to check its anchor point for the spring.

Hold the bent part of the spring down with some sharpened peg wood.  No pings.

i engaged the terminal end under the click, secured with peg wood and flicked the fulcrum origin end Ito its hole.

every design  has its own solution, clearly.
