I have the C&E Marshall "Little Giant" staking set and have figured out the uses of most of the stakes and stumps, however I still haven't figured out the intended use of the mystery stump circled in the photo. I'm sure someone here has the answer? Thanks!

Here's some close-ups of the "stumper".

Not got a clue but perhaps you could post you list of what all the others are for.

I only have a relatively small set compare to your and don't have a clue what most are for, other than the usual pushers or shrinkers.

Thanks

Paul,  I use these catalogue pages as a reference.  They list most of the common stakes and stumps and their uses. (Try to ignore the original pricing - too depressing!)

Looking at the new picture you can see two round end marks which might give a clue as to what is used with it. A sort of double prong with the end of the prong at an angle to match the stump.

Still no clue but is clearly had a lot of use because of the marks.

Maybe not a punch as such, maybe another stump like tool, similar the No 19 but bigger with rounded ends.
