Nothing special to report here but this Felsa feels kinda different than the other watches I have worked on.  Granted, I am an amateur with limited experience.

The open mainspring barrel was a surprise for what appears to be a higher-end movement--kinda EB8800 feel.  Frankly, I left it untouched.  It is my watch from my box-o-watches, and I was not in the mood for dealing with an odd mainspring configuration this evening.  Maybe next time.

The automatic wind mechanism was more integrated into the movement than the ETA movements I have worked on.

Lots of springs.  Ugh.  The click spring was the most unusual that I have seen. The plate screw shares the click...essence of Roskopf.  It is almost all back together now except for calendar works.  I will finish it tomorrow.

I see the link gives error,   Google will bring you images of the watch. " Vintage fortis Strstorliner "

The self winder module integrated in mainplate is unique, not to mention other details. Beautiful pinion leaves, etc.

I have a 30J Felsa 4000N. The auto winding is a bit unusual, but works well. I was impressed by the overall quality. It runs really well. You can buy them surprisingly cheaply. I thing they are an under estimated and great value movement.

I was going to ask about quality. On one hand some parts appears to have a bit beefy and engineered while others have that cheap stamped look about them.

Do we get to see the dial?

I don't know about its hairspring quality, but major part of the rest is superior to ETA, jeweled winder rotor bushing and jeweled barrel arbour bushing,  in 30 and 41 jewel versions, excellent pinion leaves, day changer a bit lazy however.

Hello - I know this is from over two years ago.  I have a Felsa 4009 and there are a couple of springs I have to put in but one of them I have no idea where it goes.  The Date Jumper spring and the Date Jumper where lose inside the case.  Any idea where they go?  Do they go by the keyless works?

Well, I looked back at my files to see what pictures I took and what I posted here is all I have.  Odd, because back then, I was taking lots of pictures.  Show us pictures of the springs and your current status and maybe we can figure it out.

I still have the watch.

Nucejoe - Yes I have the Felsa 4009 PDF.  In fact my watch says it's Felsa 4008/9 (that's how it is labled) and I have both (well I have a whole bunch of Felsa PDF).

Unfortunately, those documents do not show how springs go and/or where they go.  Most of them are pretty self explanatory (yoke spring for one is pretty easy to figure out), but the date jumper and the date jumper spring (2575 and 2576 in those PDF files) are shown there.

I finally found an image which help me figure out where it goes.  Not that it has helped me in trying to get them set there without one or the other (or both) taking flight.  The tension is so high that if you have the date jumper in and try to do the spring then the date jumper come lose and if you do it the other way then the spring wants to take flight.

The image shows the date jumper and the spring (this image is from ebay not mine) and you can see them below that plate which they call the Minute Work Cock.  Anyway, if anyone has any tips, clues, suggestions on how to do this without either of these parts wanting to take flight. Then I would be very grateful.

I guess I should add images of what I managed and what I tried.

1. I was able to set the Date Jumper and Spring without the day ring

2. I was able to also put the plate on top (see image).

However, I can't put the day wheel if I put the plate on there and if I don't the second the wheel touches the date jumper it just jumps.

Well after more tries that I even know I finally got it.

In the end what I did is place the Day Ring (Date indicator) then the Date Jumper and then the date spring.  However, I left the spring without tension allowing the long leg to be over the Date Jumper.  Then I put that lid on (Minute work cock) on top with screws loosely.  Once all that was in place I used the tip of my tweezers to move the long leg to put pressure on the Date Jumper.  That's the only way I could get it done.

I don't know if that's how you are supposed to do it but I am not sure how else to get it.  Here are some photos.  I'll test it tomorrow to see if it is working properly.  Images below.
