Omega 1012, seconds hand falling off.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

As the title says, the seconds hand is falling off while/after I ware the watch for some time.

At closer inspection I see that the pipe has some damage. I tired search the web for a replacement, but I fail to find any.

Cousins have something similar, but the smallest diameter they have is 0.17mm, where as I need 0.15mm.

Is it possible to fix this hand or should I keep looking for a replacement? If a replacement is needed any ideas where I could look for?

Thank you in advance!

If the pipe hasn't had some damage they make devices for tightening the pipes.

Usually for Omega parts you need to search for parts related to the case number. But Omega parts tend to be hard to find because the part of Swatch group and Swatch group does not like the consumer to be working on their watch.

So, quick update, just to close this thread.

@watchweasol actually there is no pipe to be held in vice...

@oldhippy I have tried setting the hand one more time and applied a bit more pressure that time. Also, as mentioned there is no actual pipe...

Well... I've been wearing the watch, now almost a month from then, and it still stays in place... I guess its doing just fine 😃

Thank you everyone for your help!
