Seiko Wired Chronograph

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I’ve been scrolling through eBay and found this interesting piece and my first thoughts was what is it and is it real so I searched with Google lens and found only a Japanese auction site I couldn’t really find any actual info. Plus the price seems a little bit too good to be true but I don’t know what the original price is so that was just a random thought. I also thought what the hair looking thing is on the hands I’ve marked it in one of the photos maybe one you guys might know. The description is in Italian but i translated and it said “in excellent condition” so my theory is that it’s a 0ER0 and that’s it. Do you think it’s too good to be true for 75 dollars ?

Thanks !73ABF1F7-2D02-46CC-A75C-C5BFF5EA38AA.thumb.png.6aae418daf9f525178339fe3f34e623f.png503C6043-C59A-429E-90ED-589076F65722.thumb.png.7e62a525d3bc4f7a38c381077d0e2aee.pngEC112F02-C150-4903-992E-8BD28B1A972B.thumb.png.8c226642a8b2cfb0099acf87400a97d4.png5DE7D4D6-0C13-431B-BC55-FCC18755FE8D.thumb.png.12ad94a9c4b7292ddfce1997b6c79253.pngD138A935-E6C9-4260-82EA-FE9335F7B079.thumb.png.958d7d6f7045ffd9adcae450c4c4fe1b.pngFFA21F34-EE03-4E03-A6F1-F495658E8847.thumb.png.02a8e61a2b1352ad93f0f1ce2aea80f1.png76E9197E-C3B7-42B3-A02E-6C6F24EA706E.thumb.png.4ed15c7a26e6d6c847338f30396a9a0f.png216ABDB8-6375-4714-9F85-15643641BDE8.thumb.png.e7a83f819692a7bd244bad9e4ad0e7b5.pngE706C4E8-DA63-4CE3-A3FD-D46F62193704.jpeg.282eb0b2ce3388bd5b8247fb603346f6.jpeg

I think it's confusing is a box with an item that's electronic no idea what that's about but that says Seiko the watch doesn't say Seiko but it might have a Seiko movement except

https://calibercorner.com/seiko-caliber-7t92/

it's possible that it really has one of the Seiko OEM movements rather than and it makes a reference on the back the case word China stood in real life could be just about anything including a fake chronograph. Yes I've seen those on Amazon none of the hands function and the really cheap.

but being curious I found this not very helpful except

https://www.ebay.com/itm/234695956751

what's interesting is there's paperwork and the back the back is different than yours is also slightly more expensive so yours is still cheaper.

yes is definitely a mystery here is a site that has a whole bunch a different ones all claiming Seiko again but not suggesting why they think Seiko other than Seiko movements

https://japan-select.com/collections/seiko-wired/WIRED

if you just search in your favorite search engine for Seiko wired watch you will all kinds of entries I can't find anything that officially says it's really Seiko other than the movement.

okay here's another site that says it's made by Seiko this particular model oh and yes I did see this model for sale here and there and I don't know I have a suspicion about this it's not a good suspicion. The other thing to do is to look up the model number of the movement go to eBay and look for other watches with the same movement and it and see how they price out that would give you an idea of how good or bad this really is

Yeah it is quite peculiar but I think Wired is a sister company of Seiko I'm not sure though. I think I'll wait a bit more maybe some other people will comment about this and see their opinions but yes it is quite weird that there is very minimal information about this watch but thank you for your thoughts !

Thanks.
