For quite some time now I'm looking around for a donor seiko 7434A movement.

The one I need to repair has a broken coil.

It seems almost impossible to find a donor movement.

The coil itself is also fine, seiko partn° 4002.495, but this also seems impossible to find.

An other option could be to find another seiko movement using the same coil, but I currently have no idea which other movements use these coils.

Cousins can't help, neither can Boley or watch part.co.uk

Anybody an other idea (supplier, movement source, ...) as I'm getting pretty desperate.

If I can't find anything the only step left is returning the watch to the customer with message "Can't be repaired".

Boley can't help or won't help?

Still list 4002495 for other quartz movements. Their replacement is part n°4060.

Borghi have it in stock by the looks of it.

So if you go to the first link below you get a listing of all the parts including an indication that the coil is still available because it has a price. Then if you click on the word coil it takes you to another page which lists all the different movements it goes into.

http://cgi.julesborel.com/cgi-bin/matcgi2?ref=SEK_7434A

Then googling your coil number along with the word Seiko to narrow down what it is you’re looking for The site in the previous message comes up  indicating they have one and the site below indicates they have a brand-new one in the stock in original package.

so while it’s a rather long list if you do a search of your part number you’ll come up with this.

034.702

$ 12.00

Seiko coil #4002495, new in Genuine package.

woow, thanks guys!!

Julesborel know, but for some reason I didn't think of them.

Dashto.org I didn't know.

It seems I will be able to repair the watch after all :-)

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I first contacted Boley anyway, but they already let me know the part is no longer available.

So now I have send a mail to Dashto, just wondering what they will be charging for shipping.
