Help me to fix this 2824....

Hello, 

I just received a new intermediate wheel to fix this chinese 2824 so I reassemble it but for some reason when I wind it everything moves and even if I guess this must be a stupid thing I just can't see it.

Do you have any suggestion on where should I look?

Pallet should stop it spinning .i would check there first.

I noticed the ruby underneath the escape wheel was out of place so I put it in his hola again but it keep coming out.

From what you describe you have lost a pallet stone, Which entails removing the pallet and fitting it on a pallet warmer and re inserting the stone/stones and securing with shellac. But its not as easy as that you have to get the correct angles for the input stone and the output stone for the thing to work.      https://horology-student.org/themes/types-of-escapements/              The link  explains the different types of escapement and how they operate  (swiss lever escapement) is the one you want.

Do you mean the ruby that mounts on the fork, or the one that fork arbour goes in?

I mean this one. I just put it back into place with more pressure and it seem to work now but sometimes it stops and need a shake to restart.

Have you checked the pivots of the escape wheel and pallet fork?

I quit 5 times and start again 6 times. The ruby underneath the escape wheel kept coming out so I took a main plate from another 2824 that I broke previously and move all the parts over it, I ended at 3 am.

Now, in the morning it looks fine, it hasn't stop during night and it keep good time. We'll see.
