Diagnosing a Complex Watch Problem

I was absolutely stumped by this until I systematically discovered what the problem could be. Please comment and enjoy. Sub note : endshake of .02 mm needed:)

I may take another look at my Waltham 0s Seaside.  It runs great in every position except pendant at 3:00.  I had it apart several times and it has hardly any wear, jewels weren't cracked, clean as a whistle.  It doesn't lose very much time if it ends up pendant-at-3:00 in my pocket, only a minute or two in a day over a few hours, but it's always bugged be that I couldn't figure out what it was up to.  I'm going to check and see if this is the issue it has been struggling with.  On a little 0s, diagnosing gets just as challenging as a wrist watch for my tired old astigmatic eyes.  I'm getting more use out of my microscope these days.  Thanks for bringing this up.

No problem at all and good luck finding the problem. This is a good one that you would never think of.
