'Blundell' Double Fusee Bracket Clock

Recommended Posts

hi, recently i got Blundell - double fusee bracket clock. the case is in very bad shape needs lot of work/re-construction, whereas the movement requires thorough servicing - as no major/important parts missing. i would like to know the built of this clock...

Nice looking clock. Clerkenwell in some ways was the heart of English clockmaking. I cycle through it when I travel to work.

The movement may be similar to my Bryson clock which I recently serviced. You can search for photos of it here. Your clock may have a half-deadbeat escapement like mine does. Mine was also similarly rusty!

Yes, I have seen many clocks with Clerkenwell, London written on the dial or on the movement. Years before there will be many clock makers in this area.  As I do not have much knowledge on the types of escapement wheel I have taken a pix and seems that this must be similar to your Bryson Clock.
