I was searching for Tissot Seastars and came across this listing:

Is it me or does it look like a Tissot/HMT Frankenwatch?

 

But people are bidding on it...

Not with a bargepole - the seller has 35 negative responses in a year and it's highly likely to be a Frankenwatch.

Looking some more...just about every Tissot from India looks like an HMT style painted dial. :thumbsd:

These characters normally screw up Seiko's for a living, avoid like the plague.

As with all watches from the subcontinent...unless you really know what you're getting and the price is right...avoid!

 

Its suprising how many people are still attracted to bright and shiny things!

 

I bought a PR516 with a 2451 movement for less than that with an original strap no less. advertised as not working but all it needed was a service.. the mainspring was replaced purely as a precaution as I planned to move it on.

 

Good for practise but the price needs to be low..
