How to remove bezel and glass on a Seiko 7009-3040

Indeed I managed to get the glass out. The bezel is still firmly in place though. But I suppose I will need to get the bezel out if I want to replace everything properly.

No, as mentioned above that's not needed when working with the glass. The  bezel is a separate piece just to allow a more featured shape to the watch. It is called a three parts case.
