STP 1-11 movement issue

Hello there.

 

I've been having a problem with the stp1-11 movement inside my Zodiac Super seawolf. When I go to set the time, I am unable to move the minute or hour hands forwards when turning the crown. Rather the crown spins freely and makes a slight clicking noise. There are a few areas where i can move the hands forwards, however the hands will go forwards around 10 minites and stop moving.

 

However, I am able to move the hour and minute hands backwards without issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi  It sounds like you have a problem with the keyless work, setting lever broke or the setting lever spring is misplaced or broke The only way of finding out is to remove the movement from the case  remove hands and dial to expose the mechanism and then observe the action.  Be carefull not to loose the dial washer (if Fitted) and the hour wheel.       By The Way  we do appreciate an introduction from new members.     cheers

Check if return bar gets in its slot in the mainplate.
