What is it?

Hey

Lucky enough to get a load of stuff from a old french watch shop a few months back.Most i can fathom out what they are and what they do. But this has me stumped.

Anyone know what its called and whats it for.

Also anyone no were i can get info on a waltham watch (wrist) it has a AS movement cal 1528.

Worksheets or parts etc.

It looks to me like it's either a gauge for measuring lug widths for selecting the right strap, or it's part of a bench case back opener which clamps between the lugs to hold the case whilst a die is used to rotate the back to unscrew it.

 

Just googled Bergeon 4077A and bingo, it's a watch case holder.
