Has anyone used Blue Tag instead of Rodico .  I might be silly to ask - as an amateur.

Hi there, blue tac is not used because it leaves a fine sticky film on the surface you touch with it. Hope this helps.

I use a scotch tough  grip packaging take to remove finger prints and dust particles. It doesnt leave a film of stickiness on the dials. Rodico smudges and I don't use it on the dials. Hope that helps

Thanks for the feedback. I even thought of using kneading rubber just to pick up dust from movement. It,s high time I think of getting proper tools doing the right job. I tend to be innovative often- being a retired architect by profession.

Master nickelsiver suggested to use jewel pickers, and another (microfiber ?) thingie that I can't remember, but I'll have to get.

I too found that rodico smears, especially when oil is present.   I now use AF version. Available from Cousins (and probably elsewhere).
