Vintage Citizen acrylic crystal replacement

Hello, 

I just cleaned the case of this vintage citizen watch and I wanted to replace the crystal as it is cracked so I measured the outside and got 3,1mm diameter. I bought a 3,1 glass without date to replace it but it is too small and the outside ring that hold the crystal doesn't hold it, it just fall off.

So the inner diameter of the glass is fine, it fits correctly, but the outside diameter is too small.

 What can I do?

p.s: also I don't know if the crown is original.

You will need to find a different crystal and slightly adapt it. If you look the STK catalog all measurements are detailed precisely.
