Need help Seiko 7s balance

Recommended Posts

I’m servicing a Seiko 7s26c. Watching Marks video on this movement have helped tremendously.. but I’m having trouble installing the new balance on the balance cock. The hairspring stud is different than I’ve worked with before. I’m not sure how to get the stud into the forked stud “holder “. Beat regulator.

How do I get this “T” shaped stud into those forks? Pictures attached.

Thank you as always!IMG_1015.JPGIMG_1014.JPG

I had opened a discussion about that long time ago, it can be found easily. Anyway the outcome was nothing more than what the technical guide shows with pictures: balance and cock mounted in mov't, HS in regulator, use sturdy tweezers.

It's needed that one practices with a junk balance, as is easy to do damage.

Thank you, JDM.  What would I search for to find the thread?  Is there a name for this type of stud or regulator type?
